A PHOTOGRAPH IS THE
-UNKNOWN
It’s never to early to get on my calendar especially if you are scheduling a newborn session or a fall session. It’s perfectly okay to contact me 3 months in advance.
Yes, there is! If you have a newborn or milestone session the best time of day is mornings since babies are generally less fussy. For any other session the most perfect time to shoot is about 2 hours before sunset. Photographers call this the golden hour and shooting at this time of day is a very important part of my style.
I have a tiny studio in my home which is just big enough for newborn photos and small children. Otherwise, sessions are done outside. I have several locations that I like to use some are local and some are up to an hour away.
Unfortunately, neither of us can control the weather and sometimes sessions need to be rescheduled. Some factors that may cause me to reschedule would be excessive temperatures, rain, wind or cloud coverage causing lighting conditions to be less than desirable.
Usually within 2 weeks however, in the fall it may be closer to 3 or 4 weeks it just depends on how busy I am. Once your images are edited we will meet at my house for your in person ordering session. This is a service my clients have found to be very helpful when selecting which photos to order and which products meet their needs. If you do not order within the 4 weeks your gallery there will be a $100 late fee. No exceptions on this policy.
Once you order prints come in quickly, usually within a week. Albums and canvases can take 2 weeks or sometimes a little longer to be delivered.
Before we even meet I have already invested in your session. I have expenses such as equipment, editing programs, props, workshops and insurance just to name a few. Requiring a minimum print order insures me I can continue to run a profitable business.
I sure do! Digital images are available for purchase after you have met your session’s print order requirement. They may be purchased individually or you may purchase the entire session.
I truly believe there is more value in having a tangible product that you can look at and touch. I would rather print beautiful images to pass down from generation to generation than to sell digital images that may never be printed. Photographs have a way of stopping time for a moment and evoking feelings and memories of days past. I want my clients to have those items to hold in their hands and enjoy on their walls. Let me creat lasting heirloom photos that will be cherished from generation to generation.
