I enjoy photographing all different genres, however senior photography happens to be my jam! It’s where I started my photography journey. Senior year is a time of celebration. It’s often the end of many things but the beginning of something great---your (their) future! It’s exciting and it’s bittersweet at the same time for both the student and parents.
As a senior, you have many decisions to make this year and probably a huge list of things to do. I don’t want you to feel like having your pictures taken as one more chore you must do. I want you to be excited about having your photos taken.
Don’t stress. I’m here to help you along the way; from your first inquiry, to deciding what type of location best suits your personality, coordinating outfits to match your locations, deciding on which products best fit your need to the delivery of your gorgeous images.
I want to create senior images that celebrate exactly where you (or your senior) is at this time. If’s sports is your thing, let’s do sports pictures, if you love high fashion, let’s glam you up and push the envelope! If it’s timeless and traditional images you desire, I can do that also! A senior session with Misi Inskeep Photography is just not about having your photos taken, it’s about having a positive overall experience. I want you to have fun but most importantly I want you to have images that showcase your unique personality.
It's your year, your style, your turn.

It’s never too early to get on my calendar, it’s perfectly okay to contact me 3 months in advance especially if you want a fall session. I have a full time job besides being a photographer so I only have a limited number of days a month I devote to photography.
Please ask for advice or suggestions if you are stumped as where to go for pictures or what to wear. If you have a certain vision for your senior pictures please tell me beforehand so we can work to achieve it.
I suggest everyone brings a shirt or sweater in a color that is complimentary to your eyes and skintone. If you need help deciding what that color would be I'm more than happy to help. When I say color, I'm not talking about black, white, grey or cream. Neutrals are a great option but plan one outfit around a color that will be complimentary and pop off the background. Please avoid neon colors.
Be sure to wear appropriate undergarments. You do not want your bra straps or underwear showing in your senior pictures. Please be sure to match the color of your undergarments with your clothing choice. Nude and black are usually the best choices. Also, watch out for low cut tops and pants and too short of dresses or shorts. Some of your poses will be squatting, kneeling and laying down. I want to make sure that everything that should be covered is.
Layers add dimension and interest. Suggested items to layer are jackets, vests, and scarves. Also, do not forget to accessorize with jewelry and hats.
Shoes are an important detail. They can make or break an outfit. Please pay attention to your sock color too unless you are intentionally going for an unique look.
Stay away from too tight of clothes. A tailored fit is more slimming over shapeless baggy clothing. Be sure to iron your outfits and keep your additional outfits on hangers.
A few tips especially for the guys; please be fresh shaved the day of your session. Do not forget to shave under your chin even if you're not very hairy. Please have clean hands and fingernails and check the mirror for a uni-brow. Please do not show up for your session with wet hair. I know this stuff seems pretty obvious but trust me, I only mention it because this stuff has happened.
Senior pictures should be one of the highlights of your senior year. I want you to look your absolute best that is why senior girls are required to have professional hair and make up. Don't worry if you normally do not wear make and prefer a natural look. Professionally applied make up can look very natural!
There are a few reasons why I feel this is necessary. One, it evens out your skintone and camoflauges blemishes. Secondly, professionally applied make up and styled hair will hold up better against heat and humidity. Lastly, you will not only look like a model but feel like one too and your confidence will show in your photographs.
Please pay attention to your fingernails and toenails. Fresh polish in either a neutral or classic color are smart choices. Do not forget to have your eyebrows waxed or groomed a few days before your session.
Be sure to drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Girls, it's a good idea to bring hairspray, lipstick to reapply throughout your session or even chapstick to avoid dry lips and powder if your face becomes shiny.
